Cert Training

We have just scheduled our next round of CERT classes for our citizens of Oklahoma City. As the Emergency Manager for the City of Oklahoma City, I can’t stress to you and all the neighborhood associations how important it is for our citizens to be able to do search and rescue, first aid, shut off utilities and operate under the incident command system, ALL OF THIS TRAINING IS FREE.

Attached to this email is a flyer on the CERT training dates, times, location of training and our sponsors. Please send it to all of your neighborhood associations and ask them to call me if they have any questions about the material.

Community Emergency Response Team Training

Hosted by:
United States Department of Homeland Security’s Citizen Corps CERT training program will be offered to citizens and businesses free of charge.

The CERT program is a community level training program for non-first responders that teach basic knowledge of search and rescue, fire safety, first aid & triage, disaster preparedness, natural disasters and terrorism.

CERT classes will be taught at the Oklahoma City Police and Fire Training Center.

Three-day classes on Thursday-Friday and Saturday
Class days on Thursdays and Fridays, 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Class days on Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to late evening
